Medical Assistant - Employee Health and Wellness - Full Time

What you will do

• Provide in-person, telephone, and telehealth patient care under provider supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, immunizations, and point-of-care testing.
• Collect and screen health information, communicate findings to providers, and document care accurately in the medical record.
• Support pre-visit preparation, testing coordination, patient outreach, medical records, and patient service tasks.
• Mentor and train new staff, attend education programs, and maintain annual competencies.
• Follow safety, infection control, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or three years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Previous patient-facing experience required; three years of experience is required without completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, office workflows, EMR systems, and Windows-based applications.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environments, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA AAMA), or ABR-OE certification.
• One year of experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting.
• Direct patient care experience.
