Senior Software Engineer (Backend/AI)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs for real-time applications serving millions of customers.
• Deliver production-ready features for a 24/7 sports betting environment.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including design, maintenance, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
• Investigate and resolve production issues while improving operational excellence.
• Build AI-powered or agentic tools and use AI coding tools to improve engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product leaders while mentoring peers and driving quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education, experience, and training.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in object-oriented backend development with C# or Java.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and backend system architecture.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems in AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Advanced experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and performance test suites for large-scale backend services.
• Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and collaborative debugging.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI coding tools and agents to automate engineering workflows or improve team effectiveness.
