System Supervisor, Gas Control

Location: MA-Westborough (Technology Dr), United States. Primarily office-based, with travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary. Requires 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, plus emergency storm assignments.

Salary: $113,990–$126,650 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor Massachusetts and Connecticut natural gas distribution systems within applicable federal, state, and company standards.
• Supervise system flows, pressures, volumes, odorization rates, alarms, abnormal operating conditions, and SCADA operations.
• Authorize qualified work, direct field personnel and system changes, and coordinate point-to-point SCADA procedures.
• Forecast and dispatch LNG for three plants, coordinate vaporization activities, and monitor LNG impacts on system operations.
• Coordinate field maintenance, pipeline company access, emergency response, technician callouts, and after-hours support.
• Maintain electronic shift logs, complete shift turnover, review SCADA reports, and maintain federally mandated operator and CRM qualifications.

Requirements

• Five or more years of related experience in an operational or managerial environment.
• Advanced knowledge of natural gas transmission, distribution configuration, regulator stations, SCADA operations, LNG operations, and gas pressure and flow relationships.
• Understanding of remote telemetry and control, GIS, mapping systems, applicable federal and state codes, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, work management, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent business-related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Must be able to achieve eight continuous hours of sleep between shifts and work a 12-hour rotating schedule.
