Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana; applicants must live within or be willing to relocate within 30 minutes of the reporting location.

Salary: $63,496–$79,369 per year

What you will do

• Support the safe and reliable operation, dispatching, and restoration of the distribution system.
• Track crew locations and ongoing work across the distribution system.
• Dispatch service personnel to outage and emergency situations.
• Authorize the energizing and restoration of distribution facilities.
• Maintain accurate outage records and records of abnormal or defective distribution equipment.
• Operate communication equipment and follow company safety, compliance, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field with no experience; or an associate’s degree in electrical or electronic technology with no experience; or a high school diploma with two years of technical customer support and service experience.
• Experience must include successful multitasking and handling multiple programs or screens where applicable.
• Rotating shift work and high availability for call-out response are required.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple situations simultaneously, and make critical decisions affecting service reliability and safety.
• Successful completion of the System Operator/Power Dispatching Selection System test is required.
• Required training and testing must be completed to progress within the specified timeframes.
