Pumphouse Operator

What you will do

• Align tanks, ships, barges, pipelines, and other transportation equipment for product transfers.
• Sample, tag, and store products and review product data sheets before handling customer materials.
• Prepare accurate documentation for all product movements.
• Operate valves and pumps, gauge tanks, and climb tank stairs and structures up to 100 feet.
• Handle petroleum and chemical products safely and efficiently while following customer and inventory-control procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 0–1 year of experience.
• Valid driver's license for operating a pickup truck between the tank farm and related areas.
• Ability to climb structures up to 100 feet and lift 50 pounds.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, tool use, measuring devices, mathematics, and computer skills in Windows, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, goggles, and respirators.
• Ability to learn manifolds, tank configurations, and line systems and pass related training and skills tests.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Previous petrochemical experience.
• Basic pipefitting experience.
