Senior RF Integration & Test Engineer (RF)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite work includes in-house laboratory testing, anechoic chamber testing, and local field testing.

Salary: $82,300–$245,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Develop, integrate, test, and troubleshoot RF communications and sensor systems.
• Perform expert system testing with signal generators, vector network analyzers, signal analyzers, and E-field and B-field sensors.
• Integrate and test LF/HF high-power, standard, and electrically small antennas, including optimization of matching networks.
• Conduct anechoic chamber and local field testing of electromagnetic propagation, antenna performance, and communication links.
• Analyze and model RF hardware, recommend design modifications, and drive solutions to complex technical problems.
• Identify system-level risks, execute mitigation strategies, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in RF engineering, communications engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with ferrite beads, RF chokes, baluns, capacitive and inductive coupling, RF shielding, and EMI characterization.
• Advanced knowledge of RF active and passive circuits, electrical noise, linearity, and stability.
• Experience writing software scripts for test-equipment interfacing and data capture.
• Experience with RF tools such as ADS, AWR, or HFSS, plus MATLAB or Python; must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
