Emergency Medical Care Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of hirify.global Health Services, operates ground ambulance, air medical transport, medical communications, and TeleHealth/811 services in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

What you will do

  • Manage regional ambulance staff, supervisors, systems, service levels, and operational performance.
  • Provide clinical support, oversee clinical incident management, and maintain patient and customer service standards.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach supervisors and paramedics through performance management, communication, delegation, and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, staff development, meetings, committees, and communications across the region.
  • Oversee contingency planning, EMS disaster preparedness, special event resource requests, and relationships with hospitals, agencies, stakeholders, and community representatives.
  • Manage regional budgets, facilities, procurement, equipment distribution, and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience working as a paramedic.
  • At least five years in a progressively responsible supervisory position.
  • Approved paramedic training and an ALS provider qualification at ICP or ACP level are assets.
  • Licensed with CPNS to work in Nova Scotia as a paramedic.
  • Valid Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Class 4 driver’s licence.
  • Experience or knowledge in EMS management, information technology, finance, human resources, fleet, facilities, inventory control, and continuous quality improvement, with strong leadership, planning, communication, negotiation, and dispute-resolution skills.
