Software Engineer - Full Stack (AI)

Location: New York City office; onsite presence required 4 days per week

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop full-stack products and features across multi-platform clients and Kotlin/JVM-based backend services.
• Build reusable components, resilient architectures, and APIs for critical patient and clinical workflows.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, reliability, and data privacy across product features.
• Modernize systems with agentic AI development tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Clarify ambiguous requirements, mitigate technical risk, and make informed architectural decisions.
• Mentor engineers and promote ownership while maintaining clinical-grade quality.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience building customer-facing products end to end.
• Strong full-stack experience with Node and TypeScript; Kotlin or Java experience is a major plus.
• Experience building resilient APIs, particularly with GraphQL and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with modern agentic development tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience with reusable frameworks, white-label solutions, or multi-tenant architectures.
• Ability to work onsite in the New York City office 4 days per week; immigration support is not provided.

Nice to have

• Kotlin Multiplatform experience.
• Security, encryption, and data protection expertise.
• Experience with FHIR, HL7, or EHR integrations.
