Software Engineer - Fullstack Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid work from the AV office in Herndon, Virginia or Annapolis Junction, Maryland; U.S. person status is required for ITAR/EAR compliance.

Salary: $83,500–$208,000 per year

What you will do

• Build new features and capabilities for software deployed on classified networks.
• Design and deploy software tools supporting customer mission requirements.
• Develop advanced data analytics and integrate AI capabilities into real-time dataflows.
• Code, test, and deploy high-quality software in an Agile environment with evolving requirements.
• Lead technical tasks and coordinate with other technical resources.
• Implement agentic coding and enterprise AI systems to expand capabilities and improve team efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of practical software engineering experience; a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree may substitute for part of the experience requirement.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JavaScript, TypeScript, Apache NiFi, MongoDB, PostgreSQL via RDS, Linux, Git, Docker, Angular, D3, VueJS, or React.
• Sound software engineering principles, practices, and controls.
• Experience using AI coding agents transparently.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• U.S. person documentation is required for ITAR/EAR compliance; some positions require current U.S. citizenship.

Nice to have

• 12 or more years of experience for expanded responsibilities.
• Knowledge of global finance, financial data, or blockchain and cryptocurrency.
• Experience with large-scale databases, real-time dataflows, database schema design, query optimization, storage optimization, file formats, and ETL.
• Experience with type safety, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and high-volume APIs.
• Broad technical knowledge across software, systems engineering, architecture, networking, analysis, usability, and testing.
