Project Associate (Healthcare Transformation)

Location: Remote within the United States or onsite at offices in Arlington, Virginia; Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Chicago, Illinois; Sacramento, California; or Austin, Texas. U.S. territories are excluded.

Annual salary: $67,500–$77,000 USD

What you will do

• Review insurance application data and evaluate eligibility for Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credits on state-based health insurance exchanges.
• Determine improper payments, report findings, resolve discrepancies, and close appeal cases.
• Lead a small review team and oversee the quality of team-produced work products.
• Maintain project information in Airtable or similar project management tools.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate stakeholders, monitor progress, resolve issues, and communicate project status to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize project activities, and ensure timely completion.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, research, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual work environment and translate project needs into operational actions.
• Employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available; certain projects may require specific residency.

Nice to have

• Experience working with or for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
• Knowledge of health insurance exchanges.
• Experience with Airtable or similar tools.
