Technical Project Manager

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, with three days per week required in AIR’s Virginia office; occasional travel for meetings, training sessions, and conferences. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $102,000–$110,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead technical project planning and execution in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Coordinate technical deliverables, timelines, action items, priorities, follow-ups, and escalations.
• Maintain project documentation, trackers, dashboards, and status updates to support informed decision-making.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and similar tools to coordinate projects, tasks, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Prepare agendas and briefing materials while coordinating collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Support budgeting, expense coordination, procurement, vendor interactions, compliance, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of relevant project management, technology, or operations experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Planner, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project and work management tools.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, navigate ambiguity, handle confidential information, and collaborate across virtual and cross-functional teams.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available. Certain projects may require specific residency.

Nice to have

• CAPM certification or progress toward certification.
• Experience supporting technology-focused teams and using AI tools to improve productivity and workflows.
