Production Equipment Technician

Location: Edgewood, NY / Deer Park, NY; onsite production environment

Hourly rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience. Annual bonus: $1,250, recurring every year.

What you will do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot production equipment problems.
• Respond to technical support calls and document work, parts, and time in the technician tracking system.
• Install electrical wiring and controls, and install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware connected to production equipment.
• Relocate production equipment and support the installation of new equipment.
• Track parts usage, recommend inventory levels, and maintain equipment records in line with OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Provide limited on-the-job training and input on the performance of junior technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or technical or vocational education.
• Preferably three years of experience in a production environment with equipment repair knowledge.
• Proficiency operating and repairing high-speed production equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and work under time constraints.
• Ability to stand and lift, carry, and move more than 25 pounds throughout the assigned shift.

Nice to have

• Vendor or equipment repair certification for a hirify.global insertion platform such as Blue Crest, Bowe, or Buhrs.
