Agent Strategist (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $200,000–$290,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own the agent development lifecycle from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous production iteration.
• Advise enterprise leaders on AI strategy and translate complex business problems into effective customer-facing agents.
• Run working sessions with customer teams, troubleshoot agent issues, and drive projects toward launch.
• Build agents for use cases such as subscription retention, device troubleshooting, personalized recommendations, and regulated financial services interactions.
• Define evaluation and quality standards and use performance metrics to improve agent outcomes.
• Surface customer needs and partner with research and platform teams on new agent architectures and self-service capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production.
• Hands-on familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technical aptitude, including reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture, and evaluating engineering tradeoffs.
• Experience managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial technology, financial institution implementations, or financial services security and compliance.
• Experience as a founder, founding team member, or operator.
• Familiarity with fair lending, PII handling, and other regulated financial services requirements.
