Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; onsite plant operations
Salary: $49.94 per hour plus a 10% bonus target

What you will do
- Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, feedwater systems, steam systems, chilled water systems, and distribution equipment.
- Stand watch as Lead Control Operator, Control Operator, or Auxiliary Operator and oversee assigned personnel and equipment.
- Control pressure, temperature, flow, cooling towers, boiler systems, water quality, fuel oil, and natural gas storage.
- Identify, report, mitigate, and correct equipment and system anomalies, including equipment casualties.
- Maintain operational records, logs, work orders, housekeeping, and assigned maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, including steam plant outfalls and cooling tower blowdown.
Requirements
- Maryland First Class Stationary Engineer's License required.
- At least five years of experience operating stationary or marine boilers required.
- Ability to work extended or rotating shifts, including backshifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to climb and tolerate heights up to 75 feet, work in confined spaces and elevated temperatures, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license in good standing and a driving record meeting company standards.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing and demonstrate the reliability and judgment required for control-room watch duties.
Nice to have
- EPA CFC Technician Certification: Universal or minimum Type II and Type III.
- Knowledge of water management quality, outfall controls, fuel systems, asbestos controls, and metering regulations.
