Senior Manager, Discovery Operations (AI)

Location: Remote-US

Salary: $129,000–$152,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the legal quality bar for discovery work across personal injury jurisdictions, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, objections, privilege issues, and discovery disputes.
• Define quality standards, templates, playbooks, client-facing SLAs, and review procedures for complex or high-risk cases.
• Design and operate the end-to-end delivery workflow from intake and drafting through QA, client sign-off, and turnaround guarantees of approximately 20–25 days.
• Build the staffing model and manage attorneys, paralegals, reviewers, team leads, or delivery pods.
• Own reporting for turnaround time, quality and error rates, client satisfaction, and throughput per FTE.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to improve AI-assisted drafting, automation, and human review.

Requirements

• J.D. and an active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• 7+ years of personal injury litigation experience with substantial hands-on discovery work, including written discovery, objections, and motion practice.
• Experience managing people or leading a team or function in a legal or legal-services setting.
• Comfort working with operational metrics, SLAs, turnaround targets, quality rates, and throughput.
• Working fluency with legal technology and AI-assisted drafting tools, including the ability to determine where human judgment is required.
• Ability to translate legal nuance into clear guidance for engineers, product managers, and operations staff.
