Commissioning Manager (Natural Gas Power Generation)

Location: Onsite five days a week in the Fort Worth or Houston, Texas office; travel up to 25% within the United States and Canada, with occasional travel to Germany for onboarding and technical training. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop commissioning engineers supporting large-scale natural gas power generation projects.
• Plan commissioning resources, schedules, and field activities to deliver projects safely, on time, and within contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers during installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Oversee installation audits, system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation of engine-generator packages and supporting systems.
• Review commissioning documentation, technical reports, punch lists, and project deliverables for accuracy and quality.
• Monitor project progress, labor utilization, commercial performance, reporting, invoicing, and change management while resolving complex operational challenges.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, technical diploma, marine engineering certification, or equivalent technical experience.
• Progressive leadership experience in commissioning, field service, or startup operations within power generation, oil and gas, marine propulsion, or a similar industrial environment.
• Experience leading technical teams, managing complex field operations, developing employees, and maintaining accountability for safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
• Hands-on commissioning or service engineering experience with medium-speed or high-speed natural gas or diesel reciprocating engines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required customer, site, or U.S. Government security clearances.
