Manager, Field Services (Plant Startup and Refueling)

Location: Remote within the contiguous United States for individuals living beyond a 30-mile radius of a NuScale office; offices in Corvallis, Oregon and Houston, Texas. The role includes travel to active nuclear plant construction sites and local and national travel.

Target annual pay: $165,576–$199,833. Full annual pay range: $148,447–$232,188.

What you will do

• Lead and manage Plant Services Program Managers responsible for field delivery scopes.
• Oversee planning, execution, cost, schedule, quality, governance, and earned value management across plant services programs.
• Set team objectives, allocate resources, manage workloads, coach employees, and conduct performance reviews.
• Review business cases, budgets, financial reports, long-range plans, and expenditure recommendations.
• Act as the senior escalation point for program risks, delivery issues, and gaps between NPM design and serviceability.
• Coordinate with senior leadership, engineering, business development, supply chain, PMO, customers, and regulatory stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or science, or 20+ years of technical nuclear-industry experience.
• At least 15 years of full-time experience with a nuclear reactor technology development company, including five years in a services delivery organization.
• Experience with senior reactor operations, nuclear construction and startup, or nuclear services business development and execution.
• Demonstrated leadership of startup and/or refueling projects, multidisciplinary teams, budgets, schedules, and project management activities.
• Understanding of quality assurance regulations and standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 and, with appropriate training, work on an active hirify.global plant construction site.
