Field Application Engineer (3D Printing)

Location: Remote from Germany, with a strong preference for candidates based in Frankfurt, Berlin, or Munich. The role requires travel to customer sites across the DACH region and beyond for 80% or more of the time.

hirify.global develops 3D printing tools used by industry leaders to design, prototype, and manufacture products and medical devices.

What you will do

• Install, commission, calibrate, and maintain 3D printing systems at customer sites.
• Deliver structured on-site training on equipment operation, software use, and basic maintenance.
• Conduct live product demonstrations for customer teams.
• Diagnose electromechanical issues and perform urgent break-fix repairs, targeting single-visit resolutions.
• Complete preventive maintenance visits within the 90-day service target window.
• Manage complex travel arrangements, expenses, and detailed service records in Salesforce.

Requirements

• Strong electromechanical or hardware engineering background.
• German and English fluency at C1 level are required.
• Willingness to travel and work on the road for 80% or more of the time.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and train customers.
• Valid driver’s license.
