Blackstone Private Real Estate Credit and Income Fund (BREC) Finance, Vice President (Real Estate Finance)

What you will do

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, monthly close processes, and investor-ready deliverables for BREC.
• Lead monthly NAV packages, quarterly and annual reporting, SEC filings, and materials for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
• Evaluate the accounting treatment of investments, financing arrangements, capital activity, and other transactions.
• Partner with portfolio management, legal, compliance, treasury, administrators, and auditors on liquidity, financial models, covenants, and reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain a SOX-compliant internal control environment.
• Manage and develop junior professionals while driving process improvements, automation, and system implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; an active CPA license is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably combining public and private accounting.
• Experience in financial services, business development companies, investment management, lending, and/or real estate.
• Experience with SEC registrants, regulated investment vehicles, public-company reporting, and control environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, complex accounting research, financial statements, audits, internal controls, and third-party service providers.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong analytical ability, and clear communication with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders.
