Chemical Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: DeLisle Plant, Pass Christian, Mississippi, United States

Salary: $85,801–$134,064 per year, plus a 6% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for day-to-day TiO2 manufacturing operations, including process monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, and product-quality analysis.
• Design and supervise plant tests to solve process issues, optimize operations, and implement new products.
• Develop incremental improvements and new technologies that improve safety, quality, manufacturing cost, and environmental performance.
• Provide process engineering expertise for reactors, heat and mass transfer, mixing, filtration, gas-solids separation, drying, and bulk solids handling.
• Lead site improvements from opportunity definition and laboratory testing through plant implementation.
• Lead process safety activities, update technical documentation, and conduct root cause failure analyses for product-quality upsets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams while managing projects safely and efficiently.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with complex and time-sensitive projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computational and statistical data-analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Engineering experience in chemical manufacturing, including co-op or internship experience.
• Experience with Six Sigma, design of experiments, Minitab, SEEQ, Power BI, Excel, statistical process control, root cause analysis, Aspen, or Fathom.
