Global Safety & Occupational Health Manager

What you will do

• Lead and continuously improve global safety and occupational health programs across manufacturing sites.
• Develop, maintain, and implement company-wide safety, occupational health, and process safety standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Monitor safety and occupational health performance, identify trends, and lead corrective responses and improvement initiatives.
• Provide subject matter expertise for audits, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, exposure monitoring, ergonomics, and related health programs.
• Lead safety and occupational health training, organize specialist networks, and oversee site resources and external service providers.
• Partner with HR and Medical on workers’ compensation, medical surveillance, and wellness programs, and represent the organization in relevant external associations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering, engineering, a technical discipline, or a scientific discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in safety and occupational health roles at manufacturing locations.
• Experience managing global safety and occupational health programs at corporate or division level or across multiple sites.
• Strong technical and regulatory knowledge related to safety and occupational health.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels, lead by influence, plan work, and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to travel approximately 30%.

Nice to have

• Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, OpenText, SAP, and Google Drive applications.
