HSE Coordinator - Michels Canada

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $50–$55 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and update site-specific safety plans, project hazard assessments, procedures, and HSE databases.
• Conduct daily informal and weekly formal worksite inspections, identify hazards, and verify corrective actions.
• Deliver orientations, onboarding, mentoring, and training covering WHMIS, TDG, confined space, PPE, and respiratory protection.
• Investigate incidents, prepare required reports, maintain safety statistics, and communicate preventive recommendations.
• Support injury resolution, modified work programs, WCB claims management, first aid, emergency response, and alcohol and drug testing programs.
• Ensure employees, subcontractors, vendors, and customers follow hirify.global HSE policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of HSE experience.
• Professional NCSO certification.
• Valid driver’s licence for applicable vehicles and an acceptable driving record.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Daily computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Availability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Nice to have

• Degree or diploma in HSE, OH&S, or a related field.
