What you will do

• Lead, coach, develop, recruit, onboard, and manage the performance of the yard team.
• Run day-to-day yard operations while maintaining health and safety, compliance, service levels, and customer expectations.
• Monitor operational performance, manage costs, and improve financial results.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement positive changes to existing ways of working.
• Build relationships across the wider business to support facility performance.

Requirements

• Proven people leadership experience in a fast-paced automotive, warehouse, or inventory environment.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach with the ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience working to strict health and safety standards.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
• The role is subject to a DBS check and satisfactory references.

Nice to have

• Automotive industry experience.
• Forklift or loader experience.
• IOSH qualification.
