Yard FLT Operative (Automotive)

Location: Kirkintilloch, Torrance, near Glasgow, United Kingdom; onsite yard-based role

Salary: £27,560 per year

What you will do

• Load and unload lorries and move vehicles between locations.
• Inspect arriving vehicles and record damage accurately in inspection reports.
• Capture clear vehicle images and sounds using video cameras.
• Clean vehicles and maintain the yard.
• Provide customer service and resolve issues for clients and suppliers.
• Follow health and safety procedures and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Full driving licence.
• Relevant forklift truck certificate.
• Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to record vehicle damage clearly and accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and basic IT skills.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom; satisfactory right-to-work checks are required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience at a salvage site.
• Knowledge of or interest in motor vehicles.
