Maintenance Tech 1 (Facilities Maintenance)

What you will do

• Assist with daily inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Perform minor repairs on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units under supervision.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians.
• Maintain clean, organized tools and equipment, along with accurate maintenance logs and records.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training on maintenance systems and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interest in learning maintenance procedures and systems.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team, and communicate clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational training.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
• Previous maintenance or similar hands-on experience, including internships or part-time work.
