Location: Onsite at Latitude, Urbana, Illinois, United States; periodic travel may be required, and the role includes on-call responsibilities.
Salary: $65,000–$70,000 USD annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do
- Manage building services, preventative maintenance programs, inspections, repairs, and service requests for the assigned property.
- Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, building automation, life safety, roofing, elevators, generators, and other major building systems.
- Lead Facilities Technicians, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and quality review of completed work.
- Manage maintenance, facilities, and capital budgets; maintain inventories, records, warranties, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors, including bids, pricing, deliveries, schedules, and contracted work.
- Support emergency preparedness, safety compliance, turn preparation, inspections, and escalation of urgent repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training.
- Five years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties and two years of supervisory experience.
- Two years of experience with building automation and life safety systems.
- EPA 608 Universal and HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification; Certified Pool Operator certification or willingness to obtain it within six months.
- Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems; ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, safety guidelines, and maintenance documentation.
- Basic Microsoft Office and CMMS knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and ability to stand for eight hours or longer and lift up to 100 pounds.
