Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid with an expectation of three days per week onsite. Remote work from abroad is available for up to 30 additional days per year.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end software development, from requirements through production deployment, for accounting, reporting, and other key products and services.
• Drive core technical decisions and contribute to architecture and technical direction.
• Use technologies such as React Query and gRPC to solve customer problems at massive scale.
• Take end-to-end operational responsibility for team-owned components.
• Architect creative solutions, share technical expertise, mentor colleagues, and improve engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Java or Kotlin and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with Spring Boot, React, AWS, and event-driven microservice architectures.
• Strong AWS knowledge, including SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and Lambdas; efficient cost management is required.
• Experience leading software designs from scratch through delivery, with substantial hands-on involvement.
• Working proficiency in English and availability for a hybrid schedule in Munich, including three onsite days per week.
• Experience with AI-augmented development, ideally using Claude Code, with attention to solution quality and cost efficiency.

Nice to have

• Terraform experience.
• Experience with or strong interest in accounting systems, ledgers, or fintech domain complexity.
