Software Engineer (Kotlin/React)

Location: Berlin, Germany; flexible hybrid work with the option to work from home or the office. Working from abroad is permitted for up to 40 days per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, run, and maintain Kotlin services and React applications.
• Develop a git-like version control system for architects and structural engineers.
• Enable management of system rules and other components of the building systems.
• Work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure in a product-focused team.
• Contribute to the product roadmap and sprint planning.
• Apply agile, test-driven, automated, and collaborative engineering practices.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Kotlin or Java.
• Professional experience with React and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing, building, running, and maintaining production software end to end.
• Understanding of CI/CD and microservices, with an interest in pair programming and modern engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with or interest in using AI tooling to support development workflows.
• Curiosity about new domains and business cases and willingness to work across the technology stack.
