Location: United Kingdom; primarily remote with occasional visits to the Bristol or London office required

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for analytics, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Build services that process, aggregate, enrich, and serve structured and unstructured data.
- Develop data services that support filtering, comparison, drill-down, and exploration of complex datasets.
- Collaborate with frontend, UX, data, AI/ML, product, DevOps, and platform teams on technical solutions.
- Design data models, processing workflows, caching strategies, integrations, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Improve the performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and data quality of production analytics services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend applications and services.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages and frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, relational or NoSQL databases, and high-volume data processing.
- Working knowledge of AWS or Azure, cloud application architectures, automated testing, CI/CD, and source control.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, performance optimization, and Agile development skills.
