Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Build and optimize high-performance microservices for core marketing platforms.
• Develop systems for real-time customer communications, personalized promotions, and targeted campaign delivery.
• Design scalable, event-driven systems that process large volumes of real-time data.
• Translate technical designs into secure, stable, tested, and maintainable Java code.
• Contribute to technical design, planning, prioritization, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in troubleshooting and the on-call support rotation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, a related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Java.
• Knowledge of AWS, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with event streaming technologies such as SNS/SQS or Kafka.
• Understanding of relational and non-relational databases, messaging queues, concurrency, modern architectures, and design patterns.
• Experience with testing practices, Agile development, containerization, and ideally Kubernetes.
