Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote - Netherlands

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications and services for loan origination and servicing.
• Own features end to end, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Evolve the core technology stack across Python, FastAPI, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Translate complex product and business requirements into reliable technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Improve performance, reliability, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and accountability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience building Python APIs and backend services with OpenAPI-based contracts and FastAPI.
• Experience deploying containerized, event-driven applications in AWS.
• Expertise in SQL database design, query optimization, performance tuning, background processing, queues, caching, and scheduled jobs.
• Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, system design documentation, UML, event sourcing, or Domain-Driven Design.

Nice to have

• Experience in real estate finance or financial services.
• Ability to leverage AI-enabled development tools for design, implementation, and testing.
