Electro-Mechanical Technician

Location: Fareham, United Kingdom; onsite role.

What you will do

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, refurbish, and rebuild electro-mechanical assemblies, PCBs, and associated components.
• Perform structured fault-finding and root cause analysis using engineering drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and test equipment.
• Carry out component-level repair, soldering, electrical looming, and assembly work to required quality standards.
• Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, including pressure, leak, and soak testing.
• Complete quality checks, maintain accurate repair records, and support verification of work completed by other technicians.
• Identify recurring faults and improvement opportunities while supporting 6S, lean working, continuous improvement, and colleague training.

Requirements

• Practical experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, PCBs, repair, refurbishment, and re-build activities.
• Ability to use engineering drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and appropriate test equipment.
• Competence in soldering and electrical assembly work.
• Ability to work with hydraulic assemblies and support pressure, leak, and soak testing.
• Ability to maintain accurate, traceable records and meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Successful candidates must complete workforce screening, which may include baseline personnel security checks, national security vetting, reference checks, working-rights verification, and a security interview.
