R&D Test Technician (Robotics & Automation)

What you will do

• Conduct performance, environmental, and reliability testing for inductive encoder products.
• Build and maintain test equipment and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot prototype and production hardware.
• Capture and analyse test data.
• Support verification and validation activities, including work with external test laboratories.
• Contribute to design reviews and improve test processes and automation.

Requirements

• HNC, HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering experience.
• Practical experience with electrical, electronic, or electromechanical products.
• Experience in an R&D or engineering environment.
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on approach and interest in technology.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EMC testing, industry standards, and compliance testing.
• Soldering experience.
• Exposure to test automation.
• Experience with JIRA or Confluence.
