Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Engineering)

What you will do

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, including reaction and mixing vessels, decant stations, and pumping systems.
• Plan maintenance activities with Production and Planning teams and provide coverage during holidays and absences.
• Record maintenance activities and equipment history in Emaint.
• Analyse maintenance and production data to support operational performance.
• Develop maintenance operating procedures and conduct risk assessments.
• Support plant improvements, equipment modifications, and new equipment installations.

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or 2–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom is required.

Nice to have

• Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence.
• Awareness of DSEAR regulations.
• Experience with permit-to-work documentation.
• Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supporting equipment procurement, installation, or plant improvement projects.
