Compliance Business Partner (Insurance)

What you will do

• Advise business units on regulatory obligations, best practice, and compliant decision-making.
• Provide second-line oversight and challenge across product governance, fair value, distribution, customer journeys, and partner due diligence.
• Monitor FCA developments, interpret ICOBS, SYSC, and Consumer Duty requirements, and assess regulatory change impacts.
• Develop and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, controls, and a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• Conduct thematic reviews and control testing, track remediation, and support breach, complaints, and conduct-risk analysis.
• Support FCA returns, SUP 15 notifications, governance committee reporting, and Consumer Duty Board reporting.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory work within an FCA-regulated financial services environment.
• Experience working for an insurance broker is essential.
• Strong knowledge of FCA requirements, including Consumer Duty, conduct risk, ICOBS, and SYSC.
• Experience with governance structures, regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, thematic reviews, and oversight activities.
• Ability to interpret regulation and translate it into practical, business-focused guidance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
