What you will do

  • Provide consumer compliance support for the retail savings and deposits business.
  • Assess compliance issues across product design, implementation, customer servicing, communications and marketing.
  • Support jurisdiction-specific compliance risk management using enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Execute complaint handling, monitoring, testing, reporting, policy maintenance and training administration.
  • Support adherence to UK and EU regulations, including regulatory change implementation.
  • Collaborate with global Compliance Officers and stakeholders across the firm.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Compliance Officer, preferably in retail banking consumer protection regulations and excluding AML or financial crime.
  • Understanding of consumer product regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle and familiarity with digital customer journeys in financial services.
  • Experience with depositor protection rules and supporting regulatory audits or inquiries.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Strong communication, analytical, technical, problem-solving and judgment skills, with the ability to challenge stakeholders while maintaining independence.
  • Ability to manage long-term projects, time-sensitive escalations and daily compliance risk management activities independently.
