TL;DR

Octopus Electroverse is a cross-functional product and engineering organization building public EV charging products, including the Octopus Fleet B2B platform and the consumer-facing Electroverse platform.
What you will do
- Concept, prototype, and build marketing pages, landing pages, web experiences, and application UI for Octopus Fleet and Electroverse.
- Develop robust components and help evolve the shared component library into a mature design system.
- Refine micro-interactions, motion, animation, and visual polish across web applications.
- Translate Figma concepts, prototypes, and wireframes into clean, accessible, production-ready frontend code.
- Collaborate directly with designers, product managers, and engineers to connect design intent with shipped software.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in frontend development, design engineering, or creative technology.
- Strong production experience with React and Next.js, including contributing clean code to shared repositories.
- Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot.
- Experience or strong interest in developing component libraries and design systems.
- Portfolio demonstrating visual craft, motion or animation, interactive web projects, or design-system work.
- Working knowledge of composition, layout, visual hierarchy, typography, easing curves, and accessibility practices up to WCAG 2.1 AA.
Nice to have
- Experience with Storybook or equivalent component documentation tools.
- Familiarity with Playwright, Jest, web observability, monitoring, A/B testing, or automated accessibility testing with tools such as axe-core.
