Counselor (Substance Abuse)

Salary: $23.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling, group sessions, intakes, and readmission services.
• Assess patients’ social, educational, economic, and vocational needs.
• Develop and revise treatment plans and maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Provide crisis intervention, supportive follow-up counseling, referrals, and care coordination with community providers.
• Support treatment program operations, caseload management, OBOT services, and staff training.
• Comply with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements.

Requirements

• Active CSAC certification is required.
• A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and current counseling credentials are required according to state regulations.
• Knowledge of substance abuse populations, treatment planning, human behavior, and human social services.
• Ability to make sound decisions, handle confidential information, respond effectively in stressful situations, and seek supervisory guidance when needed.
• Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
• Work is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, from 4:45 AM to 11:00 AM.
