Third Party Commodity Manager (Medical Diagnostics)

Location: On-site in Buccinasco, Milan, Italy, with travel of up to 30% across Europe and the UK.

Salary: €55,000–€63,000 gross annual salary, plus target incentive pay of 10% of annual base salary.

What you will do

• Identify third-party solutions to complete the diagnostic product portfolio across Europe.
• Manage the full third-party supplier lifecycle, including identification, qualification, onboarding, contracting, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure third-party products meet certification, legal, regulatory, technical, pricing, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales, Tender and Bid teams, Application Specialists, and internal functions to translate customer needs into sourcing strategies.
• Maintain a centralized catalogue of suppliers and products, including contracts, certifications, pricing, master data, and supporting documentation.
• Support continuous improvement, market analysis, and category management initiatives across EMEA.

Requirements

• Professional procurement certification such as MCIPS or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in medical devices, IVD, diagnostics, or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks for supplier contracting in the medical and IVD sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with supplier qualification and onboarding under structured corporate or quality management systems, such as Danaher DBS.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record; willingness to travel up to 30% in Europe and the UK.
