MGA Contract Binding/Production Underwriter - Construction

Location: Marlton, New Jersey or New York, United States

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Drive new business sales, client retention, account placement, profitability, and organic revenue growth.
• Develop relationships with sales associates, underwriters, insurance carriers, customers, and prospects.
• Solicit insurance submissions, prepare coverage quotes, and successfully place accounts.
• Recruit, manage, train, and develop assigned client service and underwriting staff.
• Handle complaints and inquiries, communicate account issues and potential errors and omissions incidents, and collect unpaid receivables.
• Maintain required production levels and stay current on insurance products, coverage options, and industry trends.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business sales, including calling on senior executives.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance coverages and products, with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Must hold or obtain Property & Casualty and/or appropriate business licensing.
• Experience building and maintaining strong customer and prospect relationships.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A college degree is preferred.
