Territory Manager, Inland Marine (P&C Insurance / Inland Marine - Senior Production Underwriter)

Location: Remote within the United States; this position may be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states. Approximately 25% in-market travel is required, with heavy travel and extended stays potentially required.

Salary: $104,000–$156,000 expected starting annual salary range. The national salary range is $104,000–$194,000.

What you will do

• Underwrite, quote, price, and manage new and renewal Inland Marine commercial policies within assigned authority.
• Build and maintain relationships with agencies, brokers, producers, and internal business partners across the assigned territory.
• Develop and execute agency business plans, sales strategies, pipeline plans, and performance action plans.
• Analyze market conditions, underwriting results, agency portfolios, risk quality, pricing, profitability, and growth trends.
• Market commercial insurance products, identify new business opportunities, support agency development, and improve customer retention.
• Conduct agency visits, provide risk management and coverage guidance, and coordinate service delivery and underwriting team activities.

Requirements

• Must be able to work remotely from the United States and travel within the market.
• Seven to ten years of progressively responsible middle-market commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.
• Two to five years of sales and business development experience in middle-market commercial lines preferred.
• Commercial underwriting experience with delegated authority and strong knowledge of underwriting, pricing, coverage, state regulations, and risk evaluation.
• Strong Inland Marine industry expertise; experience with Builders Risk is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; CPCU or CIC designation preferred. A valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.

• Existing agency or broker relationships within the assigned territory.
• Significant experience with Inland Marine and Builders Risk lines of business.
• Relevant professional designation such as CPCU or CIC.
