Staff Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland; office attendance required 3 days per week. Applicants must currently reside in Ireland and be able to work there without visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Develop software modules and server-side logic for the central platform.
• Write design documents, functional specifications, and efficient, testable code.
• Maintain the existing codebase by adding features, fixing bugs, and refactoring.
• Build scalable microservices and integrate data sources and databases.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional product teams using Agile practices.
• Provide technical mentorship and help resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Golang.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Experience developing microservices and working with containerization.
• Knowledge of scalable application design, database schemas, authentication, authorization, accessibility, and security compliance.
• Experience with automated testing, unit tests, Git, and software development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with NodeJS or Python.
• AWS accreditation.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience and applicable certifications.
