What you will do

• Build and maintain new and existing database projects deployed to production throughout the year.
• Write, test, and release reliable software as part of a small, collaborative engineering team.
• Improve fault tolerance and performance across hirify.global clusters.
• Optimize SQL query execution using techniques such as SIMD and LLVM code generation.
• Develop search, costing, and other query optimizer modules.
• Explore technologies including LLMs and vector indexes while collaborating with product, marketing, and sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including operating systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architectures.
• Strong programming skills in C++ or C.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Commitment to building highly reliable software.
