What you will do

• Design, build, and operate core billing platform services and REST APIs.
• Lead multiple domains of the platform from inception to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product teams to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues while improving monitoring and early warning systems.
• Contribute to the transition of the platform to a next-generation architecture.
• Write well-designed, testable code and maintain high technical standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ireland.
• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable products.
• 5+ years of programming experience in an object-oriented language (Java or similar).
• Strong experience with architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with on-call support for mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in Linux and containerization.
• Experience optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with gRPC, Python, TypeScript, React, or Apache Kafka.
