TL;DR
Protocol Product Manager (DeFi): Shaping product strategy and execution for Morpho’s decentralized lending infrastructure with an accent on roadmap ownership, user discovery, and technical-financial product judgment. Focus on translating ecosystem needs into protocol initiatives, balancing security and complexity tradeoffs, and driving improvements from discovery through launch and adoption.
Location: Paris or remote with working hours from -5h GMT up to +2h GMT to ensure sufficient overlap with the team

What you will do
- Own the roadmap for the protocol team and prioritize opportunities based on company goals, user needs, technical constraints, and ecosystem dynamics.
- Lead continuous discovery with curators, distributors, integrators, developers, and other protocol users.
- Translate user and market insights into product requirements, decision frameworks, and measurable success criteria.
- Partner with protocol, engineering, research, security, legal, solutions, partnerships, and marketing teams from exploration through audit, launch, and adoption.
- Evaluate product and technical trade-offs, including protocol extensions, surrounding infrastructure, partner enablement, and complexity reduction.
- Improve product decision-making, documentation, stakeholder alignment, and measurement as the ecosystem scales.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building technical products in complex or fast-changing environments.
- Track record of taking products or major features from ambiguous problem spaces through launch and iteration.
- Strong technical fluency, including system design, technical constraints, and communication with engineers and researchers.
- Excellent product judgment, user discovery, synthesis, prioritization, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to define success using quantitative and qualitative evidence and adapt direction as new information emerges.
- Strong ownership, autonomy, communication skills, and comfort working in ambiguous async environments.
Nice to have
- Experience in crypto, DeFi, traditional finance, or fintech.
- Familiarity with lending markets, smart contracts, or permissionless protocols.
- Experience shipping products with significant security, audit, regulatory, or governance considerations.
