Senior Research Analyst, Fuel Oil

What you will do

• Conduct market intelligence on fuel oil and feedstock markets, focusing on Western Europe and selected Middle Eastern markets.
• Identify market trends and produce independent analysis, reports, and insights for clients.
• Support pre-sales activities by communicating hirify.global’s market views.
• Promote research through external stakeholder, media, webinar, and presentation engagement.
• Collaborate with product and technical teams to develop client offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in refined products markets, with a focus on fuel oil and ideally exposure to DPP.
• Experience applying modeling techniques, including secondary unit operations modeling and fuel oil fundamentals.
• Experience producing independent market analysis and communicating insights to varied audiences.
• Ability to conduct complex analysis across multiple datasets using advanced data analytics tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using hirify.global data or other cargo tracking tools.
• Physical trading experience and a network of market contacts.
• Experience with data science tools.
