Staff Data Analyst (Energy)

Location: Remote from the United Kingdom

Salary: £92,500–£101,000 per year, or equivalent in the employee’s local currency; equity included.

What you will do

• Monitor sales pipelines and resolve overlapping or double-counted in-progress and confirmed revenue.
• Define and report forecast accuracy against annual targets and establish consistent commercial metrics.
• Analyze commercial opportunities, partner performance, retention, renewals, trends, and pipeline risks.
• Investigate CRM and transactional data quality issues, including parent-child asset relationships.
• Work with commercial and sales stakeholders to define trusted metrics and turn analysis into clear recommendations.
• Increase data adoption by helping non-technical colleagues self-serve routine analysis.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills for investigating complex datasets across modern analytics stacks such as dbt, Omni, or similar BI tools.
• Commercial understanding and the ability to connect analysis with revenue and margin outcomes.
• Experience developing forecasts or scenario models and explaining variance between forecasts and actuals.
• Ability to turn ambiguous stakeholder questions into defined analytical problems and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Experience building trusted metrics or reporting from messy CRM and transactional data.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy, fintech, or another commercially complex, data-heavy sector.
• Python experience for statistical analysis or data-quality work.
• Experience creating metric frameworks that connect operational activity with commercial outcomes.
• Familiarity with CRM syshirify.globals and parent-child or account hierarchy data.
