System Chip Validation Intern (Python)

What you will do

• Design test plans and validation suites for networking switch features.
• Develop scalable test automation frameworks using Python.
• Execute validation tests and analyze results across system-level scenarios.
• Investigate and debug hardware, software, and system-level failures.
• Drive root-cause analysis and collaborate with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams.
• Use traffic generation tools such as Ixia to validate complex switch designs.

Requirements

• Be a second- or third-year B.Sc. or M.Sc. student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with at least two years remaining before graduation.
• Have hands-on experience developing automation with Python and C++.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, debugging, organization, documentation, and research skills.
• Understand complex systems from a high-level architectural perspective while maintaining attention to implementation details.
• Communicate effectively and work in a cross-functional environment.
• Be eligible to access technology and software subject to U.S. export control laws; some applicants may require export license review.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools for test creation, automation, debugging, and engineering productivity.
