Lead Group Controller (HGB & IFRS)

What you will do

• Own monthly and year-end Group Management Reporting under HGB and IFRS for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Prepare financial commentary and analyze variances against plan, including cost, revenue, and cash flow drivers.
• Partner with business owners to implement and track corrective initiatives.
• Translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for leadership, the board, shareholders, and banks.
• Drive improvements to provisions, reporting processes, and financial systems, including LucaNet and SAP-based cost center reporting.
• Build and lead a small, high-performing Group Controlling team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Controlling, ideally in a scale-up, technology company, top-tier consulting firm, or Big Four environment.
• Strong university degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience with LucaNet and SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with complex group consolidation processes.
