Business Controller (On-site) - Business Finance Management

What you will do

• Oversee daily accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, inventory valuation, reclassifications, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reporting packs covering profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, operational performance, and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, monitor performance, and provide financial insights for cost control and operational decisions.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, external audits, tax compliance, and communication with auditors, advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead the finance team and improve accounting processes, reporting automation, standardization, and ERP capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of finance or accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a controlling or managerial role.
• Experience with monthly closing and financial reporting in a multi-entity or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP, internal controls, financial analysis, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, plus automation and process improvement skills.
• German at B2 level is required; occasional business travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or RA.
• Mandarin language skills.
